Round Table Mass Tour Of New Zealand 2011


Discover the unique beauty of this South Pacific Island nation famous around the world for its friendly hospitable people.
The Association of Round Tables N.Z. and its members, in association with the Trustees of the Nevill Bullock Trust, and members of N.Z. 41 Clubs, invites all members of RTI/WOCO and their partners, to join the 14th running of this very popular biannual tour which continues to be subsidised by proceeds from the Nevill Bullock Trust.

The tour will run for 14 days from Wednesday the 2nd March until Tuesday 15th March 2011.

Wednesday

2nd March

Haere mai! Welcome to Auckland, New Zealand's largest city, known as the 'City of Sails'. Settle into your hotel accommodation where you will meet your fellow travellers. Hotel.

Day 2 
Thursday

3rd March

A free day in Auckland. This is your chance to visit the Sky Tower, Kelly Tarlton’s Underwater World, the Viaduct, Casino or sail the America’s Cup yacht on the beautiful Waitemata Harbour. Hotel

4th March

All aboard your luxury coach for the trip down to the Coromandel Peninsula with its awesome scenery, white sandy beaches, hot pools, boating and fishing. Hotel.

Saturday

5th March

On to Tauranga, renowned as the fastest growing city in NZ. The warm dry climate makes it popular with holiday makers who enjoy the white surf beaches along the coast. Home hosting tonight by Tauranga RT.

Day 5 
Sunday

6th March

A short journey to the popular tourist town of Rotorua, a geothermal paradise with geysers, hot mud pools and steaming craters. Hotel stopover tonight with some cultural activities. Hotel.

Day 6 
Monday

7th March

A free day in Rotorua. Your chance to visit the geysers, bubbling mud-pools, hot thermal springs and the Buried Village or, if you’re feeling more adventurous, take the chairlift to the top of Mt Ngongotaha and ride the luge back down! Hotel.

Day 7
Tuesday 

8th March

At around midday, we board our flight to beautiful Queenstown. An alpine resort town, Queenstown is the centre for adventure tourism. Join us for the world's most exciting jet boat ride today! Hotel.

Wednesday 

9th March

A free day to explore Queenstown. You’re spoilt for choice here – choose from water skiing, jet boating, white water rafting, bungy jumping, mountain biking, skateboarding, tramping, fly fishing and of course shopping! Hotel.

Day 9
Thursday 

10th March

A scenic journey into Milford and a world renowned cruise on the Sound. Then on to Te Anau situated on the shores of beautiful Lake Te Anau, known as the walking capital of NZ. Hotel.

Friday

11th March

Today your coach travels to your destination Balclutha which lies where the mighty Clutha River divides into the Matau and Koau branches and provides some of New Zealand’s best brown trout fishing. Home Hosting tonight by Balclutha RT.

Day 11
Saturday

12th March

Journey on to the town of Mosgiel, fifteen kilometres west of Dunedin’s city centre. Dunedin is known for its thriving student population, amazing wildlife (it has the world's only mainland Royal Albatross colony and several penguin and seal colonies on the Otago Peninsula), and more recently a burgeoning boutique fashion industry. Travel back to Christchurch today through the quintessential New Zealand towns of Oamaru and Timaru. Home hosting by Christchurch 41 Club.

Day 13
Monday

14th March

A free day in Christchurch and a chance to visit some of the many tourist attractions the South Island's largest city has to offer. Tonight is the farewell function, a night of nostalgia and friendship. Hotel.

Day 14
Tuesday

15th March

Farewell brunch and departures. If you are staying on beyond today please request help with any arrangements.
